Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of the Shorts Video Studio desktop application (“the app”). By using the app you agree to them.
1. What the app does
The app helps you turn your own long-form videos into short clips on your computer, and helps you publish them to platforms you choose. It runs locally; there is no online service or account with us.
2. Your content and responsibilities
- You keep all rights to your videos and the clips you make.
- Only process and publish content you own or have permission to use, including any music, video, images or other material it contains.
- You are responsible for what you publish and for following the terms and community rules of each platform you post to, including the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Review AI-suggested titles, descriptions and hashtags before posting; they may contain mistakes.
3. Connected accounts
When you connect a YouTube channel, the app acts only on your instructions, using the permissions you grant to Google. You can disconnect at any time in the app or in your Google Account settings. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to infringe others' rights, to publish unlawful, deceptive or spam content, to evade platform limits, or to post to accounts you are not authorised to manage.
5. Third-party services and software
The app works with third-party services (such as YouTube) and includes open-source components, each under its own license. Those services and components are provided by their owners, and their availability or behaviour may change.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own backups of important videos.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the makers of Shorts Video Studio are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, content, revenue or account standing, arising from your use of the app.
8. Changes and termination
These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page. You may stop using the app at any time.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
